Greetings from Jendell...
by Dan Titus on 2001-11-27

I am letting it be known that I fully plan to launch legal proceeding against the Carling O'Keefe brewing company as soon as possible. Last night, I had a charbrolied hamburger and fries, and washed it down with a pair of Mr O'Keefe's usually fine quality malt beverages. After this, I turned on RAW, and saw William Regal urinate on the Big Show. I swear to God, I could have sworn I saw Vince making his ass the focal point of another angle. It had to have been something to do with the liquor, because the WWF booking team could not possibly be so out of touch with their own viewers that they think this complete and utter bullshit is what we want to see?

Thank Christ somebody at least gave us Stacy and Torrie in their bra and panties, if only to help us forget Regal's mens room faux pas (That's "Mistake" for you typical doltish wrestling fans who don't read anything other than the latest issue of Barely Legal Sluts,or Archie comic books) or the end segment. What is it with Regal? He gets arrested a few years back for taking a wizz on a flight attendant, his angle with Jericho involed Y2J pissing in his teapot, and now this with Big Show. I'm pretty sure there are websites catering to this fetish, I just don't want it permeating my Monday nights. I read some wrestling writer today proclaiming "WWF Attitude has returned." No, it hasn't, unless stealing ideas from Tom Green and re-runs of South Park is your defintion of "Attitude".

I had the chance to travel with Sam and Jodie to see Manson in action this weekend, in a little gym in Port Alberni. Great show, everyone worked hard. Now, you would think that, with the current state of the WWF,more fans would be turning to nearby indys to get their wrestling fix. Well, you would be wrong. I really fail to understand why a lot of fans fail to, as Sam would say "Support wrestling outside the mainstream". There seems to be a bit of an attitude among some fans(The same one's who camp overnight for WWF tickets) that just because you have never heard of a wrestler, he or she can't be any good. Do you know who the first fans are to bitch and whine when an indy fed stops running shows in their town? The goddamn people who never supported it in the first place, thats who! I wish a lot of fans would drop their elitism, and at least try to give some support to those who are working hard to keep the business vital on the grassroots level.Besides, one would also think people would be looking for an inexpensive night out, especially with movie tickets no longer being the cheap first date they once were. Well, indy shows are inexpensive for everyone but me, given that I typically drop 40 clams on at least two of those Japanese deathmatch tapes they sell at every show. Lousy impulse buying. If I ever have kids, I've got the unenviable task of explaining to them how I shafted them out of a college education, just so I could have a collection of Onita vs Pogo matches.
