The first column since the last one.
by Dan Titus on 2002-11-05

Most magazines and columnists don't start giving out their year-end awards for another couple of months, but I decided to start the fun and hand out one a little early.

It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and sheer buffoonery to get your hands on this one.

Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling, congratulations and salutations, because you are...

The Mickey Mouse Outfit Of The Year!

How bad is it when a backyard fed can book show's in Nanaimo, and actually have them take place on the announced date, yet a pro fed books the same venue and almost never runs a show when it says it's going to?

See, when a wrestling fan around here looks at a promo poster for an ECCW show, it's usually known that the show will take place about two months later than the advertised date. And then ECCW turn's around and whine about a lack of fan support.

And then there's this time: Announcing a February date in October, only to move the show to a different town. Way to win people back! Yeah, moving the show to a town an hour-90 minutes away is going to make a huge difference.

So, I'm guessing they booked this show as some sort of inside "rib". Hahahahaha! It'll be even funnier when you guys have to start bringing in cardboard cutouts to fill seats.

And stop snivelling about the crowd not popping! Last time out ya gave us Cremator vs Bob Brown Jr., were you expecting a reaction like the main event of Wrestlemania?

In my experiences watching wrestling, crowds tend to react better when they like stuff. And a lot of what I have seen since Mid September 2001 has been pretty mediocre.

But hey, maybe we're like the silently appreciative Japanese crowds. I know most of the Sweet Daddy D matches I have seen have left crowds pretty speechless.

Rumors are circulating that Test's new look, push, and pairing with Stacy Keibler may lead to him doing something entertaining, possibly in the near future.

When this rare event happens, Titus Talks will be there with immediate coverage. We will have a roundtable discussion involving myself, Moondog Manson, Sam Halsall, and Jeff Ranger(He really will show up. Honest.), and special correspondent Carrot Top will be on the scene gauging crowd reaction, and whether this means any other current WWF stars are planning on being involved in watchable television anytime soon.

Stay tuned.

Quotes from the boys: Moondog Manson says "After a long hard thought about what I wanted to do, I realized retirement isn't what I wanted. Why would I give these knuckleheads the satisfaction of retirement when I can terrorize them ten fold in the ring.".
