Ban the Chop?

I have been seriously considering banning a move. The Chop has been in wrestling for decades, and even with some wrestler [Ric Flair] it has become famous. But one thing no one thinks about is the ignorance that is being shown by greenhorns through out the wrestling business. The Chop has become a dangerous move and I think it should be banned.

I don’t know how many times I have witnessed wrestler come back to a dressing room with a chest covered in red welts, but it is getting ridiculous. How many blood vessels must be killed before some one bans this move. I know I sure as hell hate giving them or taking them. Not only does chopping hurt your opponent but it also hurts your hand.

Men Like Billy Two Eagles and Ric Flair made the chop what it is today, and all the youngsters in the sport are doing is giving it a bad name. Why do you insist on exchanging chops like they are going out of style? Does one chop not satisfy the crowd? You all seem to forget how to work a chop in a match. It really isn’t that difficult. Chops always do hurt but they don’t need top be damaging.

I am concerned for all of your health, for every blood blister, torn chest, miss heartbeat…there is only one or two good chops now, this has to change.

Perhaps we need to start making wrestlers wear gloves similar to boxing gloves. All I know for certain is if we cannot ban this move then we will certainly have to regulate it.

Bah who am I kidding…the chop just hurts my hand and chest…and yes I know I take steal chairs to the head but skin on skin contact stings more =(
