World Wrestling Entertainment has failed to entertain me for some time now. Although I've always been a fan of the more traditional style of wrestling, there was a time back when it was simply the WWF when I would find myself glued to the set each and every Monday night. Now...I catch up on some much needed sleep.

* Kane was not really burnt after all. His scars are mental, not physical? What grade 10 student came up with that idea?

Each time I get the chance to tune in on Monday nights, I hope and pray for something that resembles a wrestling match. I mean how many times do we have to see Stacey Kiebler bend over before it's worn itself out, and what does it say about the state of the wrestling business when that gets a bigger pop then Scott Steiner himself?

* Say what you will about Big Poppa Pump, but there was a time when pre-lim jobbers would leave the building when they found out they were supposed to work him for TV. Perhaps since the buy-out of WCW the creative team at Titan Towers has nothing left to prove.

Over the years, Vince squeezed out the compatition and everyone else along the way. Now he's the only show in town...and a poor one at that. People are talking about NWA/TNA but in reality they are still miles behind.

* Triple H has taken a lot of heat for holding the title too long but don't forget Bruno Sammartino held it from 1963 to 1971 and 1973 to 1977. Bob Backlund had it from 1979 to 1983 and Hulk Hogan had a four year run between 84 and 88. All were champions longer then HHH, but then again Bruno, Backlund or Hogan weren't dating the bosses daughter.

Yes the WWE has come along way since the days of Buddy Rogers. Whether it's better or worse is anyone's guess. All I know is that I've lost my interest in today's product.

* I had a chance recently to review some of my old NWA tapes and it made me realize that I really miss those days. Flair in his prime, Ricky Steamboat, Arn Anderson, the Fantastics, the Freebirds, the Midnight Express with Jim Cornett swinging his tennis racket around and let's not forget the Steiner Brothers when they were probably one of the best teams on the planet.

I know as I get older and require more and more hair dye, those days are gone but in my mind...they will never be forgotten.
